BRAYLAND
Independent Artist — Bafoussam, Cameroon
Short biography
BRAYLAND is an independent artist, writer and performer from Bafoussam, Cameroon, and the creator of BRAYLAND GROOVE — a calm, controlled vocal presence over rhythmic, danceable production. He moves naturally between French and English, and builds his music, his image and his world independently.
Long biography
BRAYLAND is an independent artist, author and performer originally from Bafoussam, Cameroon. Music was part of his life long before the name existed: street rhythm, dance and rap shaped his ear, and school stages gave him his first audiences.
After early performances in Bafoussam and the Adamaoua region, his journey continued in Yaoundé, where his first major release was followed by a music video. He financed and organised that work himself — no label, no dependence, no shortcuts.
In 2022 the name BRAYLAND emerged, created from his own names, turning something personal into an artistic identity. Around it he is building BRAYLAND GROOVE: music that can move between Afrobeat, R&B, Pop, Reggae, Rap and Dance influences without being trapped inside one genre, held together by the groove.
His journey later took him beyond Cameroon to Indonesia — a new country, a new culture, a new chapter, with the same vision. BRAYLAND is currently developing and preparing the next chapter of his musical journey.
